Cuento de luz: rewarded by International Latino Books

The Spanish publishing house Cuento de luz has been awarded ten prizes by International Latino Books Awards (ILBA). The prizes were delivered at the Instituto Cervantes in New York on 30th May 2013, with America’s BookExpo and the New York Book Fair in the background.
Cuento de luz has spread the word through Facebook, after they received the news on the 23rd of April.
The prize-giving organisation is responsible for the ‘Latino Literacy Now’ section of the ILBA, presided by Edward James Olmos and the organisation Las comadres para las Americas, presided by Nora de Hoyos Comstock.
From its foundation in 1997 Latino Literacy Now has been dedicated to the promotion of reading and literacy in the Latino community, and it has created prizes to celebrate the achievements of Latino books and authors published in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Cuento de luz is based in Madrid and specialises in children’s literature, and Ana Eulate, answering a vocation to build a bridge between creative imagination and reflexion, created it. This publishing house is attracting a lot of attention from professional mediums for its capacity to contribute significantly in broad international markets, including that of Canal Lector. This distinction is proof of Cuento de Luz’s acceptance in heterogeneous markets.
