With all the permits, Random House and Penguin complete the fusion

Once all the necessary approvals came through from the government, the fusion between Random House and Penguin (PRH) finalised. So far it has been announced that John Makinson will be the president and Markus Dohle the CEO. More details can be found in this article by Publishers Weekly.

This editorial giant will have over ten thousand employees spread around the world and will publish over fifteen thousand new books a year thanks to its two hundred and fifteen editorial stamps. It is believed, says the article, that its annual revenue will be of four billion dollars.
Dohle explained during his conversations with the company’s employees, that the editorial commitment was to publish books in any format and cover as many ideas and themes as possible.
Nuria Cabutí, director of the company in Spain and Latin America, will keep her position, and will add to it participation in the Executive Global Committee for Penguin Random House.
